Wyrd & Flame was created as a place for the study and exploration of Norse tradition, runic systems, mythology, and the cultural world of the early Germanic peoples. The aim of the website is simple: to make knowledge of these subjects accessible while keeping the material grounded in historical context and responsible interpretation.

Who are we?
Founder and Author -
My name is Ellesha I am a author, believer and worker of the old Germanic & Norse faiths - I'm a Seer, Seiðkona, Völva, wyrd worker & walker and have been a dedicated Norse Pagan for over 17 years.
My work focuses on the study of Norse tradition, the Elder Futhark runic system, and the cultural world of the early Germanic peoples. Much of what we see today surrounding the runes and Norse mythology has been simplified, removed from context, or blended with modern interpretations that blur the line between history and reconstruction. One of the main reasons I created Wyrd & Flame was to provide a place where these subjects could be explored with greater depth and clarity.
Through this website I write about runes, Norse cosmology, mythology, folklore, and the historical foundations of northern traditions. Many of the articles draw from sources such as the Poetic Edda, the Prose Edda, saga literature, and archaeological discoveries where possible, while also acknowledging where modern practice and interpretation have developed over time.
Alongside the articles on this site, I also write books exploring the Elder Futhark and related subjects. These works are designed to give readers a structured way to study the runes, their meanings, and their place within Norse culture and tradition.

My name is Jobi. I am an author, a devoted believer, and a Norse Pagan convert for more than five years. My path has been one of constant study - exploring the old ways from Proto-Germanic and Old Germanic traditions to the faiths of the Norse. These ancient beliefs, spanning millennia, continue to inspire countless seekers who long to walk the same path.
At heart, I am a wanderer. I search for more than what the eyes can see or the ears can hear, striving always to uncover deeper truths. My purpose is to carry and spread the flame - sparks of the wisdom once spoken by our beloved deities and spiritual ancestors, gifted to us so that we may keep them alive and share them with one another.
From a young age, I educated myself tirelessly through books and research. With time, that search awakened my calling. I heard the sound of ancient horns echoing through Midgard, reminding me that this path has always been mine. Now, I walk it alongside fellow authors and Norse devotees, rowing the same ship across time. Together, we honour those who came before us, striving to make them proud in the modern day.
My gift is to speak of the divine deities we worship, follow, and revere - preserving their stories, heroics, and timeless tales.
Just as importantly -

and to know that they have found a home and kinship among us.
Why Wyrd & Flame Exists

Wyrd & Flame was created to provide a space where these traditions can be explored with greater depth and clarity. The goal is not to present the runes or Norse mythology as trends or aesthetic symbols, but to approach them as parts of a wider cultural and historical framework.
