Every community begins with a vision.

Balðrsfolk was founded by four individuals who shared a common goal: to create an open, welcoming, and educational Norse pagan community where people from all backgrounds could come together to learn, grow, and support one another.

Rather than building another isolated group, they envisioned a modern gathering place - one founded upon frith, knowledge, fellowship, and mutual respect. A place where history and spirituality could be explored together, where newcomers would be welcomed rather than judged, and where experienced practitioners could freely share their wisdom with others.

Each founder brings their own unique knowledge, experience, and perspective to the community, working together to guide Balðrsfolk while remaining committed to the belief that leadership is measured through service rather than status.

Together, they continue to oversee the growth of Balðrsfolk, helping shape its future while ensuring it remains true to the values upon which it was founded.

Behind every strong community is a team of people dedicated to helping it thrive.

At Balðrsfolk, our administration team exists for one purpose: to serve the community. Our roles are not about status or authority, but about supporting members, sharing knowledge, and helping create a welcoming environment where everyone can learn and grow.

Together, our team combines a wide range of skills and experience, from historical research and education to spiritual guidance, community moderation, event organisation, and member support. By working collaboratively, we strive to ensure Balðrsfolk remains a respectful, friendly, and inspiring place for all.

Our team helps to:

  • Welcome new members.

  • Moderate our community spaces.

  • Host educational lessons and discussions.

  • Organise blóts, honourings, and seasonal events.

  • Answer questions and provide guidance.

  • Support members whenever help is needed.

We believe leadership is measured through service, not power. Every member of the team has an equal voice, and together we work to uphold the values that Balðrsfolk was founded upon: frith, knowledge, fellowship, and mutual respect.

Above all, we are fellow members of Balðrsfolk. We continue to learn alongside our community and are always here to offer guidance, support, or simply a friendly conversation.

If you ever need us, our door is always open, and our hearth is always warm.
